We revealed our two prototypes to the world and are now ready for the next steps of our adventure: industrialize our production, starting with a pilot line at the heart of Paris, then building a plant, and selling our robots at a global scale. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with an understanding of actuators, motors, and mechatronics components. As an integral part of our R&D team, you will play a crucial role in the development and customization of actuators for our humanoid robot. Your expertise will help us achieve the goal of creating a robot that is exceptionally fluid, silent, and powerful.
Key Responsibilities Summary:
In a challenging and multidisciplinary environment, reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will participate, in your field of expertise (motion, haptics, jointing, grasping, ...), in the design of our robot prototype and define advanced technical solutions. More precisely:
Design, customize, optimize, and prototype actuators, ensuring compliance with system requirements.
Evaluate motor, sensor, gear, and joint technologies.
Establish global supplier relationships.
Write technical specifications and analyze test results.
Support industrialization and manage subcontractors and supplier partnerships to optimize BOM cost.
Ideally, you will have:
MS or PhD in Mechanical Design
3+ years of experience in actuator technology, motors, and gear systems is a plus.
3+ years of experience in product development (Mechanical design, prototyping, and production).
Familiarity with Design Tools (e.g., Solidworks, simulation/calculations, PLM).
Fluent in English.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Solution-oriented mindset and passion for innovation.
High level of autonomy.
