We revealed our two prototypes to the world and are now ready for the next steps of our adventure: industrialize our production, starting with a pilot line at the heart of Paris, then building a plant, and selling our robots globally. Job description

The main objective of this role is to design and engineer a solution that meets the needs and challenges of our clients.

We aim to strengthen the Houston team responsible for implementing Enchanted Tools' product vision and ergonomy. As such, we are seeking a Senior Physical Product Designer.

As a Physical Product UX Engineer, your role is crucial for designing and engineering world-class robotic characters that will improve people's lives.

Responsibilities

Design Thinking - Ergonomy :

  • Help build the UX roadmap, with our UX Engineering Leader.

  • Build UX packs for our diverse clients' typologies.

Subject Leadership:

  • Execute the roadmaps and ensure their timely rollout.

  • Retrieve the needs and constraints of our users & stakeholders.

  • Consolidate and formalize the user insights into a specification.

  • Transform user insights into user-centred design solutions, with the UX researcher and junior Product designer.

  • Keep up-to-date with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

  • Raise awareness among teams about ergonomic and user experience good practices.

Build:

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes with R&D teams to test with users.

  • Design, pilot and implement experiments and testing involving the robotic platform (designing and leading user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and AI experts, to ensure seamless integration of proposed solutions.

  • Ensure that the product design is aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.

  • Implement UX best practices, processes and tools within the company.

Profile

For this role, we seek people with experience with physical products (cars, robotics, domestic goods, IoT, Appliances...).

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX or Product design & Engineering, human-computer interaction, Ergonomy, or a related field.

  • A first professional experience (post-graduation) in UX and Physical Product Design, involving Human Interface.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team on a challenging product structure.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • A creative mind, looking for new ways of interaction.

  • A portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and design outcomes.
